This is another training video for Josephine it adds to the previous one of her at 4 1/2 months old that shows things like loading on the trailer, etc.
First off this was her VERY FIRST time meeting Spooky kitty and working the obstacles with him in there. It was VERY WINDY and Spooky moved around ALOT!! Even almost collapsed near the end of the video. I took Josephine down to see Spooky kitty and within about 2 minutes she was willing to walk under him. Yes a bit on the unsure side but you can see that she tried her best to listen to my cues and not be too worried over him. Throughout the video you can see she is still a bit unsure of Spooky kitty so rushes a bit here and there but this is her learning how to deal with the situation and moving on and listening to me.
Things you don't see in the video was just after she goes through the cowboy curtain and we stop there is a huge 14 x 16 silver tarp that she walks over and stops on.
Other newer things for her is the learning to lead on the offside. The bullwhip is fairly new and the cans have only been introduced to her a couple of times.
Learning to turn on the haunches and forehand while not perfect at this stage I do accept some of the two steps versus the complete cross over as long as she shows me the understanding of what I am asking. I think you see that with a turn on the haunches were I keep asking her until she gives me the correct movement with her right front leg.
All and all I think for such a young one she has a great grasp of understanding and willingness. Each exercise isn't just for show that all have some added side learning benefit. An example of that is asking her to put her feet up on the platform it isn't for show it is so that she understands that I can and will ask her to put her feet someplace specific and she should do that and learn to stand and except those situations. Trust!
